Doyen Blue Eyes

IMG_1615

In this world of mine there are many many blue skies, Monday morning blues, blue sisters, blue beings, Blue books, blue castles, blue handbags, bee blue, many a blue day, blue mittens, blue-white cats and then we have this fur face with these amazing eyes that are as blue as last year.

A pretty face that's attached to a whole cat, that is a cat that's not only a cat but a Persian seal colourpoint cat. Totally and completely kind and sweet in every fibre of his furry little sealpointed body. He might not be the brightest - which Persian cat is? - but he truly is the oldest and most kind-hearted of the bunch.

He reached the rather impressive cat-age of 17 years last month (I try not to think too much about the fact that this means I've also become 17 years older than when he came to live with me...). The doyen, if not by brain but by age and gentle nature. Ol' fluffy sweetheart Emil.

What 17 cat years in human age? Rather mature, I imagine. He is terribly terribly handsome for any age.

17 cat years = 84 human years, imagine looking this good at that age! Thanks, Wendy, he's such a cutie in many aspects:)

Pia,

I saw this post last evening just before leaving work and menat to come back and comment - you took this pic?! That is one of the most beautiful feline photos I've EVER seen and those blue eyes are just indescribable!! They look like Earth, as photographed from space. Whata handsome old gentleman Emil is!

I love beautiful Pialand. : )

Thanks, aforkful! I'll be sure to pass that on to the fellow himself:)

What a completely sweet comment, John!! But of course I took the photo myself, everything you see on this blog of Pialand is captured by me (if not otherwise stated). I'm just so grateful for my lovely cameras - and that I don't have to pay for developing also all the crappy pics taken anymore... That I'm there to capture the many splendour around us, that's such a privilege! :)
