three hearts

february 18, 2011 - heart plättar

Three things heart in my worlds as lately;

I made heart plättar with the little heart pancake iron. It was trickier than one thought, a smaller spatula is needed (I ended up using a fork to flip the plättar), it's more difficult that one might think to flip them neatly to fry on the other side too (finish them in a regular pan seems more convenient). Plus, what's the idea with those ugly grids in the bottom of pan?

To make the hearts look appealing one has to cover them in jam as not to see those grids. Yes that is tad annoying. Fun on the odd occasion, but conclusion is that after all, I still prefer the usual big sized pancakes before plättar anyday.

<3 latte

There have been very few cups of coffees for me lately. Not that I drink much coffee in general, but a latte now and then is a nice treat. This one I had the other week was indeed a really good one, served in a generous cup and with a heart. I always appreciate good latte art, hearts are the best.

Last, but certainly not least, a pair of irresistable and fantastic look socks (from Sock Dreams. Of course), all those pretty roses... in pink and red and green. (For more details on socks, pop over to the shoe per diem post of 'the beauty and the beast'.) Who could resist? Another reason for spring to hurry up and get here, for real.

Love your blog. And I really do think that your socks are just awesome, wish I could find some of them in Santiago (Chile).
I understand what you mean with the pancakes...you buy them because it´s supposed to be more fun, but then you learn that sometimes the old fashioned way is easier and it´s not so messy after all.
Please feel free to look into my blog.

Heart, heart you can’t break my heart
Hard, hard you think you’re so hard
If you meant what you did it wouldn’t been half as bad
But you did it in spite and that just isn’t right

I like hearts :)
