little loaf's monday

malte

thank you for kind thoughts and best wishes. little loaf (the dog kind) went through surgery and is doing well (touch wood). but it's still quite quite worrisome since the reason for surgery was a fast growing tumour in his mouth (it really breaks my heart seeing this in writing...) and the vet-surgeon says they're likely to be malign. we will know more in two weeks.

since little loaf is and has been his usual happy, terrier-self all this time, we didn't notice something was wrong until he started bleeding from his mouth two weeks ago and we discovered the growth. i feel lousy for not having discovered it earlier, but if it's a bad growth it wouldn't have made a difference.

poor sweet loafie. such an awful way to start 2013, oh how i'm already seriously beginning to question this year...

Dogs are tough! My friend's wee terrier had part of her lung removed 5 years ago because of cancer and she is still going strong today. I am sending good hopeful thoughts your way!

Animals are programmed to hide their illness/ weakness....it's not your fault. Its how they survive. I am so thankful he made it through surgery like the little champ he is. Hopeful that he will soon be herding cats and enjoying play dates with friends, soon. Thank you for posting, Pia....I've thought of you all day.

Best wishes of Little Loaf! He give so much colorit on your blog. Don't worry everything will be fine!

Stop thinking in black, you make this from few months! It's new year, start it positive, you not leave a chance on your luck to start working, with this clouds in your mind. You can't decide whole year from her first days!

Also never trust of vet, they too much are scared from the pain! I know this, I had medicine education in one "past life". Nature is make dogs strong, so always search vet that gives you promise for hard, but good results. If is necessary change vet, don't be passive, only faith or god if you prefer, can decided!
