But there you are. In line with what 2022 has offered so far. (I remember we had snow in May when I was a kid, so I’m not saying capricious weather always is linked to the human induced climate change, but it would be nice not to see this backlash now after a couple of weeks with +10C and April arriving…)So, March. It has been a really Pia Khttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16519694952785489099noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-16525018.post-35800613205839582882020-01-20T21:15:00.000+01:002020-01-20T22:47:28.282+01:00walk into 2020 like it's a rainbow paradise on fire
First of all, I adore you, my January 2020 music crush - Harry Styles has never been on my radar, 'he's in one of those countless generic boybands, right...?', but I saw him on The Graham Norton Show (which I love) and was completely smittened by the song and his totally snazzy dressing. Look. At. That. Suit. Fabulous.
Secondly. The year, the roaring 20ies have sadly started with one Pia Khttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16519694952785489099noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-16525018.post-14738055318918808802019-08-12T20:31:00.000+02:002019-08-12T20:33:28.477+02:00the things i do while i'm looking for my new dream job
Stockholm Pride has been. And apart from the love is love, kindness and equality vibe that's in teh air during that week, I always enjoy taking rainbow coloured pictures near water. This year we were at magical Millesgården for a really sweet exhibition with illustrator Lena Andersson's adorable drawings and work. A perfect place for a little rainbow gang to pose.
The exhibition is on until Pia Khttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16519694952785489099noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-16525018.post-88613667950931538802019-07-16T23:55:00.001+02:002020-07-20T23:27:44.370+02:00the only colourful person in stockholm and other july bits
The more I read, the less inclined I am to write apparently. And I seem to have gotten my reading mojo back in a major way. Hooray. 4 books down in July so far, soon 5 and reading 3 simultaneously.
It should be the other way around, one might think, the more your read, the more you'd feel the urge to write. If you're a writing human being that is. But as things are now, obviously I don't work Pia Khttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16519694952785489099noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-16525018.post-56839423057089469182019-06-11T20:55:00.000+02:002019-06-11T20:55:28.616+02:00hello summer dress 2019, blue hair, hot weather angst, wempowerment and other june snippets
Say hello to summer dress 2019 - I may not have enjoyed enjoyed the blouse back in March, but I couldn't forget the delightful happy Marimekko pattern. When it turned out there was indeed a knee length dress I've had it on my wish list and now it has moved in. It's lovely. The weather so far has been undecisive, either too hot or rainy and chilly so I haven't found the perfect day to wear it Pia Khttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16519694952785489099noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-16525018.post-31065471204960106242019-04-29T22:19:00.000+02:002019-04-30T00:14:14.029+02:00easter shenanigans in pink
Over Easter I began planning in my Bullet Journal, one of my goals for April and forward was to blog 1-2 per week. I've already begun slacking obviously. At least there are other areas where I've ticked a reasonable amount of boxes. And I honestly think we would be very boring humans if we got A+ in every single thing we aimed for. Life is so much more fun and interesting if we leave room for Pia Khttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16519694952785489099noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-16525018.post-75863371338426597712019-04-14T23:55:00.000+02:002019-04-15T00:35:06.952+02:00pia's vegan power blend, god's disobedient rib, the job that wasn't meant to be and other non-foolish april stories
Hello again, there seem to have been a case of a slight blog hiatus. It's only the old "the more you have to write about the more of a struggle to get going there is".
And the more you'd want to really dive into each subject, the more overwhelming it seems. So I've decided to keep each step reasonably short - do I hear sniggers of disbelief?
Started my April by picking up my new cat frame Pia Khttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16519694952785489099noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-16525018.post-58161683157102287272019-03-08T02:20:00.000+01:002019-03-08T02:20:24.699+01:00bold by nature and other march snippets
The month of March has had a flying start - on the first I got a call back for a second interview already. It took place mid week and it felt great, so even more fingers crossed for a third one. Of course, like most always, afterwards the brain starts questioning should I have talked less about this, more about that, been more this, less that. Which is obviously a waste of energy, what is meantPia Khttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16519694952785489099noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-16525018.post-9207664792149760002019-02-22T20:28:00.000+01:002019-02-22T23:28:46.597+01:00eating out - vegan brunch at radisson blu royal park hotel stockholm
Finally, as mentioned, I too have tried the plant powered Sunday brunch at Radisson Blu Royal Park Hotel (near Hagaparken in Solna, Stockholm). And it was overall a great experience. There's textures and flavours for every tastebud.
As I most likely have written before, eating buffets isn't my thing, mainly because I can't eat that much thus I feel it's a waste of money. Dear Blog, it has been two years since a cold, so I guess I shouldn't complain that one has graced me with its present again. And since I stuffed myself full of ginger, citrus, chili, garlic and various hot drinks since Tuesday (since I had a meeting on Thursday I really really didn't want to miss) I'm through the worst (touch wood) quicker than usual, hooray!
So glad I stumbled over these Pia Khttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16519694952785489099noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-16525018.post-16143516865706986612019-01-05T03:33:00.000+01:002019-01-05T22:01:44.587+01:00welcome 2019
For the first post of 2019 I planned-ish to be a new, focused I - write about a specific topic only. And it was going to be worklife, since it's the area I will focus on this year. But then a lot of other things nestled themselves in as write-worthy. And as I am I, and proud of it, here goes.
The first thing I did when 2018 turned 2019 was to light the wonderful vegan candle (from Pia Khttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16519694952785489099noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-16525018.post-33588228145085798342018-11-04T22:55:00.000+01:002018-11-05T01:08:43.122+01:00another year older, another year wiser - the 2018 edition

It's with sadness one has to admit that summer is over. It was an awful, frightening summer where you couldn't breath and think at the same time, with climate angst and sleep deprivation galore. But since it was like a reality version of an episode of the Twilight Zone it's like you never really got to experience the beauty and relaxation that is called Scandinavian summer.
And then all the Pia Khttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16519694952785489099noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-16525018.post-19667010935677973782018-08-05T17:55:00.000+02:002018-08-15T00:34:49.676+02:00melt down perfection
After this past + month with temperatures that made a decent sleep impossible, add to that I struggled with sleeping for months before that too - which I usually love to do, waking up after a good night's rest feeling all perky and energetic is bliss. Strangely enough didn't have sleeping problems with when M had passed away, possibly my life's worst crisis, but my sleep wasn't affected. The Pia Khttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16519694952785489099noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-16525018.post-86717014901745376832018-07-19T23:55:00.000+02:002018-07-22T14:01:22.611+02:00public transport shambles, forest fires and baby hedgehogs
I was going to write a lengthy post solely on the nothing short than complete shambles that's the public transportation in Stockholm this summer. But I won't, this will be a three piece post from infuriating, to even more infuriating, to cute overload.
Let's start with the closing of the two major commuter train hubs in the city - the Citybanan and it's two new stations are not even a year oldPia Khttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16519694952785489099noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-16525018.post-67788971103654063362018-07-01T23:55:00.000+02:002018-07-02T13:20:44.296+02:00goodbye june, welcome july
Time to say bye bye to June as well as another cosmo geek week. With plenty of cat cuddles. Given the amount of oxytocin I constantly get refilled like this, one might think I should always be happy and content. Alas, life isn't as simple as that. But as with vitamin D supplements, who knows how I would feel without it?

Chanting. Job interview. Circular economy breakfast seminar. My very condensed week that was.
I've been meaning to start regular meditation routines for many many years, but somehow life went on without it. And when an old fellow cat breeder told me about her having practised chanting for many years, last year, I thought I should look into that. It took me a year of thinking, but now I've had Pia Khttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16519694952785489099noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-16525018.post-59360547548368123252018-04-14T19:55:00.000+02:002018-04-16T14:20:47.080+02:00the pussybow blouse and other weekly snippets
I do believe Spring has finally sprung in Sweden. Although given the fact that last year the last snow fell on May 9, we should probably be prepared for that this year too... But that said, today it was +15 C, that awkward time of the year when you don't really know how to dress weather appropriately. And you feel like a dazed, shabby mole sticking your nose out the door.

One of the reasons I moved to this suburb of mine early 1990ies was that it's the countryside with close links to Stockholm city - about 30 minutes with commuter train - fresh air, grand views, woods, walks, a serenity you will never get living in the city - which I love obviously, but I would never ever live there again. My intention was to write a long, rambling-ish post about some of the inspirational stuff I've done this past week. My cosmo-geek week. But I realised just now that it'll be a lot longer than I had intended, so I'll make a part I and II of it instead.
Here goes part I -

Was woken up last night at 4.55 - yes really - by a very intense, emotional dream. Which rarely happens, I can probably count the times on the fingers of one hand. But this was a kind of aha-moment that made me cry. Which also made me think about the saying that "Dreams are the answers of tomorrow's questions." Let's just say I really do hope this one was.

I do believe I have entered a brand new year a little bit braver than I left 2017. I've dared a dash, I've said yes, I've said no, questioned status quo and embraced possibilities. Only a week in. Which doesn't mean I've stopped overthinking things, as my usual self naturally does.
Then suddenly the upcoming week also holds a very tangible situation to talk things through, finding out more, Pia Khttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16519694952785489099noreply@blogger.com1
