this little piglet

this little piglet

Spotted this little cutie in one of my favourite shops in Stockholm - for sweet things, Moomin stuff and interior decoration for people who are still young at heart and love colours and silliness - the other day. That look in the little piglet eye has followed me ever since. It's very realistically made.

Not that I was exactly looking for a proper piggy piglet bank, but this is serious cuteness overload and s/he would look grand in a certain pink office... I also noticed that I saw the wrong price on the tag, I thought it costed over twice as much. Maybe I should pop by again and have a proper look and cute meet... This is certainly a REAL case of spend money to save money!

the cat approach to the summer season

Yes, cats ARE marvellous sources of inspiration and enjoyers of the simple and magic things in life.

But sometimes you do need to question their priorities, when there is such beauty and gorgeous scents around they end up doing the silliest things. Like only cats do.

my little herb corner

It's not grand or ambitious but it's pretty and most of all it's very green. My little herby corner of the garden.

There's just something special and satisfying to have pots of fresh herbs to pick for your cooking. And summery. And joyous.

Everyone should have a little herb corner. And I'm the living proof one doesn't really need to have green fingers for it.

What do you have in your herb corner?

the first day of summer 2015

While these past three years have had exceptionally warm April and Mays, this year has mostly offered chilled temperatures. Jackets not optional.

But today it finally felt like summer, a somewhat modest temperature yes, but sunshine and summer nevertheless.

On this day I bought a dress, had a soy latte and admired the beauty of the peony.

Amongst other things. But the true beauty is always in the details. Especially the colourful and unexpected ones.

new favourite from organic löv tea

lovely organic rooibos almond tea from løv tea, june 2015 - so good even cats fight for it

No you don't need nailpolish that matches the tea tin to enjoy this tea. Nor a tea colour matching cat. But it does lend an extra sparkle to the experience.

The organic almond rooibos tea from LÖV tea is wonderful. Like drinking an almond paste cake, but less sweet.

It's so good that even the most die hard rooibos hater (in this case M) finds it lovely to drink.

So great even cats (in this case the Prosit sisters) fight over it.

The colour matching one wins.

When I first visited the lovely new Kusmi tea shop in a posh Stockholm suburbia shopping centre, they were all out of this fantastic rooibos and I went for another Löv tea. Despite me knowing I don't enjoy white tea, because the blueberry coconut one smelled great.

food at home, may 2015 -

Drinking it I was terribly disappointed because it didn't taste of anything. And I did follow the brewing instructions perfectly. But when it had gone cold, the flavours came through properly. So I'm thinking it would make a fine ice tea. Though not so fine warm.

Because surely the lack of flavour of tea couldn't have something to do with the not colour matching nailpolish?

Warm or iced?

dogs on the town

dogs on the town, stockholm, june 2015

A friend of mine came up with the hashtag #hundarpåstan (ie #dogsonthetown) for dog spotting in Stockholm. I think it's such a darlin' idea so of course these days I feel an even more urgent need to dog snapping when I see them out and about.

Today I saw this adorable grumpyfaced French bulldog outside a cafe and I realised a #hundarpåcafe (#dogsatcafe) is a must hashtag.

Here are some of my previous #hundarpåstan snaps -

Or here would be some more dog photos if Flickr had cooperated, as all too often it does not. The two years ago new Flickr never did get any better, the poor performance has sadly just continued ever since... It would have been nice to have been proven wrong.
