Skin care update

070804 148

Inner beauty in all its glory, the surface needs to be pampered too. Here's an update on new, more or less exciting products, that I've been adding to this list or which have succeeded used up ones.

* Shampoos - Origins Knot Free (a whole litre bottle at a great price, will be a long lasting shower friend!) and Paul Mitchell Awapuhi, depending on the mood of the day... Both are old favourites and lovely!

* Deo - Nivea Fresh and Kiehl's Superbly Efficient Anti-perspirant & Deoderant Cream *how's that for a long name...*, the later is a completely new one for me, yes it's good, but if you're not really careful it stains the clothes...

* EdC - more a splash than a light perfume really, gorgeous scent and perfect to have in the handbag for a refreshing touch up during the day, Yves Rocher fraicheur vegetale de the vert

* Facial cleanser - Molton Brown skinpure cleanser, weird scent of the glue we used in school... Ok as a cleanser I guess, at least when you don't wear heavy makeup, but that scent is so totally unappealing... No, won't buy again.

* Facial scrub - Kiehl's Pineapple Papaya, tried a couple of samples and was hooked, lovely product!

* Face mist - now we've reached the category of silly expensive price per litre (at least on this side of the Atlantic...), but I can't help but get a bit mesmerized by all the lovely luxurious ingredients, red and white tea plus pomegranate in Ole Henriksen african red tea face mist... Only used a few times so far, but it feels great and I'm sure it'll be even better come winter and dry days.

* Nail polish - Isadora Wonder Nail Pink Pastel 111

Just discovered Kiehl's now have a canine range too - oh my, how sort of silly cool isn't that?! I know what'll came home with me next time I drop by Kiehl's... Not that Malte will ever smell as great as the cats, but it doesn't hurt to try...

  1. Hi pia,
My mum says that the best ever skin cleanser she has used is Dermalogica special cleansing gel. She says it is very expensive but the 250ml bottle has lasted her 18months, as you only need to use a tiny drop. It makes her skin feel awesome! Dermalogica also sell a little kit that lets you have a trial run of their stuff and that is how mum first tried it.
She also uses their skin smoothing cream and says that is the best too and in fact gave all of her other skin care stuff away.
Good luck with finding some new skin treats.
