Two lunches, at two very different places, but both with an artsy touch - not to mention really tasty. First the Konst & Kakor - Arts & Cakes - café in Viggbyholm Stationhouse, right beside the Roslagsbanan tram station with the same name. Delightful, new found place, far from central, very much in the outer suburbs, but really worth a visit. Situated in a cosy old, renovated stationbuilding from the 19th century. Art exhibits on the walls with different artists as well as tasty food with an artistic touch on the plates.
Delicious ciabatta with avocado, fetacheese and pesto - and for dessert a shared cake that looked irresistible, Stationsvaktens favorit - The Stationmaster's favourite - which turned out to be a heavenly, sticky toffee cake...
Café Bistro, at Millesgården, offers tasty lunches, often with many vegetarian alternatives. And just coffee and yummy cakes if you prefer that. And as I wrote before, it's perfectly lovely if you're able to sit outdoors weather permitting - in my opinion definitely one of Stockholm's nicest places to enjoy your lunch/coffee, even if it's also kind of non-central. And the artistic touch you'll of course get just by looking around.
Saladbuffet, vegetarian pasta, cauliflowersoup - the perfect lunch in the perfect place!
You've inspired me. Next visit to Stockholm I'll venture out into the suburbs and see what I find. :)
ReplyDeletePia the food looks scrummy yummy. The kittens are super cute, they look so sweet in the mugs. Do they have homes yet?
ReplyDeleteYou definitely should, Wendy, there are lots of tucked aways gems and great things going on there! Welcome:)
ReplyDeleteThanks, Poppy! There are possible buyers, but nothing is decided yet.
