Technically this isn't a view from Stockholm, but a smalltown - a very cute one - some miles south of Stockholm. Called Mariefred, with a picturesque castle called Gripsholm (from the 14th century) just before you enter the town. At Gripsholm you'll also find the National Swedish Collection of Portraits. Well worth a visit, especially in the summer!
