Renting a bike is certainly one perfect way of seeing and experience Stockholm. To rent these bikes - financed through advertising, hence the advert for one of Sweden's most wellknown painkillers, Alvedon on these bikes - at a bargain price is possible from April all through summer and early autumn until the end of October.
Breath in, breath out, relax - and suddenly the world has regained it's colours. Especially if you find yourself and your bike at colourful, blueskied, greengrassed, flowery Rosendals Gardens on Djurgården.
Thanks for the top tip! I'm thinking of a taking a short break in Stockholm sometime next year - either at the start or end of the summer - so will follow this up...
ReplyDeleteThat's a nice plan for a break, I think May or late August/September possibly is the best time if you want to avoid the most touristy season. Let me know if you want any other tips! Like where to find all those men in pink...;)
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun way to get around town. And for me a bike is a great way to get healthy. ;-)

To be honest so far I've seen more bikes than bikers using them, it's a fun idea but perhaps it takes a bit of time to get used to this "new" way of seeing town for the Stockholmers - and tourists - who don't have a bike of their own.
