One day in late May an afternoon walk in the woods nearby, the ripple of the lake, the sun glistening through the foliage, gentle winds, loaf dog extraordinare companion (on good behaviour), finding new paths, one step at the time, breath in, breath out is just what one needs to be able to look forward, onward once again.
And even if this picture below might seem quite ordinary as far as road-a few cars-fields-lampposts-a bit of lake-pictures are concerned it really very much makes me glad I'm able to be living right where I am. With an amazing city within reach by train and sometimes car and yet in such rural surroundings. The hustle and bustle of wonderful Stockholm city and the peaceful tranquility of the countryside suburbs. Truly the best of both worlds.
And I wholeheartedly agree. The suburb is my kind of place.
ReplyDeleteI can't see myself living in the country far from a city, I like cities home and away, but the tranquility of a good suburb is hard to beat!
ReplyDeleteLovely photos - blue skies are definitely top of my list of Swedish memories, and green grass and lush countryside certainly aren't far behind...
ReplyDeleteThat look so like a lake and woods we have. It clears the head, doesn't it?
ReplyDeleteThanks, aforkful, perhaps not always the blue skies but England to me is lush countryside everywhere, love it!
ReplyDeleteholler, oh yes I remember that one, there's just something so comforting and familiar with Scotland:) The perfect place to take really deeep breaths!
