One very electric blue wicket / delightfully unexpected detail in the outskirts of Dunvegan, Isle of Skye, Scotland. Kind of swishy in all its simplicity, don't you think?
That's an interesting observation, mother nature. In some countries/places the bright coloured doors etc exist because of ancient believes that they scare off evil spirits. Pretty and cheerful whatever reason I think!
What I do find rather curious, when thinking of that dull weather - bright colour thing, is why the vast majority of houses on the british isles sport the colour grey in every possible nuance. But the doors and wickets are often bright in colour, not to mention the stunning gardens then...:)
The electric blue is certainly cheerful isn't it? I notice some try to contrast gray weather conditons with bright colors.
