Mellow Yellow Smoothie
From yellow tulips, to one mr Y, to another smoothie, this time, of course, yellow. A smoothie that obviously is very tempting for one (yellow nuance) cream cat named Pelle. It was a wonderfully yummy smoothie made from two bananas, two squeezed oranges, one kiwi and a handful of goji berries.
I'm sure one quarter or so of a galia melon would have made a lovely addition to the foursome. Perhaps a piece of fresh (or for that matter tinned) pineapple too.
Dash of cardamom, sprinkle of psyllium and generous amount of sunflower seeds - oh my, yellow is truly mellow.
Looks great!!!!
ReplyDeletehello from SpeedyCat :-)
And how did Pelle like it? CUTE pic! : ))
ReplyDeleteThe smoothie and kitty were made for each other! Both look deeevine!
ReplyDeleteYUMMY Mellow Yellow Monday:)
ReplyDeleteWhat an interesting smoothie.
ReplyDeleteLOL - the cat looks very interested in it!
ReplyDeleteIt looks good ... sound very healthy too!
kitty looks a bit curious for sure.
ReplyDeleteNot only does it look delicious, it also sounds delicious. I would not mind one at all but apart from being too lazy to make on I lack all the ingredients too.
ReplyDeletePS: I too like yellow houses with white corners.
Thanks, Speedycat, glad you liked it!
ReplyDeleteHa, ha, well actually he didn't appreciate it being all fruits and no yoghurt, John - so I got all the yumminess to myself:)
A kitty-smoothie match made in heaven then, Forever Feline:)
Indeed it is, Sharon:)
That smoothie sounds yummy! Looks like Pelle was about to enjoy it too. lol
ReplyDeleteI think I prefer the furry smoothie - but there's not much to choose between them!
ReplyDeleteOh my! I want one now mmm....yummy!
ReplyDeleteAnd a yellow cat to go with it. That looks pretty tasty, actually. I'm going to have to dust off my smoothy machine, I think.
ReplyDeleteI'd never heard of the berries. The photo on wiki is of a very pretty red berry.
ReplyDeleteI wonder how they taste..
what a great close-up of kitty doing his own version of a tasting :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting, VioletSky.
ReplyDeleteOh, indeed it was soo goood, Drowsey Monkey! Although I should probably have had it in the morning because I of all the perk me up-ingredients that kept me awake at night...:)
Thanks for stopping by, Fortune Cookies.
Tarolino, it's so simple (if you have the ingredients at home:) to make, peel, slice and dice, whizz in a blender and hey presto, fruity heaven!
Thanks, kim!
ReplyDeleteHa, ha, that's quite alright, AFoS:)
Babs, I hope you have treated yourself to one by now then:)
You do that, Tarheel Rambler, I should remember to use mine more often, so easy so good in many ways.
Pagan Sphinx, apparently the dried berries are a bit of a snack thing in the skinny fashion industry, but they taste quite awful in a bitter way right from the bag. But they go very well in a smoothie or I suppose in other food, brimming with good stuff and antioxidants as they do.
Thanks, Dianne, you never know who decides stopping by a photosession in a home with cats:)
Oh Pia K!..That golden Pelle is a real brick...just game for anything, eh?
ReplyDeleteDid you slip a piece of cat treat into that glass?
Bernie is one for eating ice-cream but the first thing he does, is give Shopper a lick or two of it.
Yuk! And then he eats the rest and the pair of them fight over who gets to lick out the bowl!
Give that Pelle a pat on the head for us.....Love Terry
The yellow is mellow and what a wonderful colour match for the kitty cat. Lovbely.
ReplyDeleteOh he seems to be just about everywhere these days, Terry, cat treat or not. Today I was cleaning out the laundry room where I also have the litter boxes and he was just so nosey about everything...:)
ReplyDeleteMy mother is just the same with cats, and Malte the dog, share her spoons and icecream and I thinks it's... less than appealing. But on the other hand I do think it's a rather endearing feature to be so charmed by the animals and their imploring eyes and insisting behaviour:)
Glad you liked it, me ann my camera!
