life with one self proclaimed cat herder

IMG_9877

It never seize to amaze me how the annoyingly mischiveous loafshaped trouble instigator of a dog blatantly refuses, after almost six years, to learn proper cat-ish and insist on speaking loaf-dog-ish with the cats.

Excitingly offering his skills as a self proclaimed cat herder in every situation tad bit involving cats. Prunella adores Malte, but I bet there are times when she really very much wonders about the sanity of sharing home and roof with such a pestering tyke.

  1. Aw!

In that first pic, the poor cat looks terrified! I hope it's just the camera angle...

  2. Poor cat. The look on his face was upsetting for me too!

  3. afos, Kari - well, Prunella (who has been brought up with Malte) does adore him usually. But when he gets a *bit* too terrier-ish she always acts like this and she is rather overdoing the oh I'm terrified of the big dog bit...;) Malte on the other hand never does anything more than being an overenthusiastic herder (which is granted annoying, mostly) and bark. Cats like peace and quiet, cuddling and stuff, not herding. And if they think he's too much they can always put him in place.

  4. They look like they are just having a little disagreement. No cat claws were out. I love Maltes spring haircut, he looks a sweet dog.

  5. hahaha, we have an ongoing chase here: we just got a really small baby cat, and all the big guys are so schocked (one big cat, and two big dogs :)) )

  6. Thanks, Poppy, no no claws no teeth, just a bit of a herding thing...:)

Oh, I hope the wee one puts the others in place, Lara, I'm sure there'll be adorable scenes when they've gotten used to eachother...:)
