ode to loaf dog
For all his quirks and more or less charming features (tyke, cat herder, squeaker toy lover to name a few), one loaf dog is quite a little gem as far as dogs are concerned. He has a refreshingly lack of interest in hierarchy and the opposite gender, he's sure and secure in himself, happy, content yet curious, his philosophical side has a reasonably endearing streak of mischievousness.
All and all, most of his qualities are such I also very much value in humans. How fortunate he and no one else was the puppy that came to live in this home and life.
Sometimes though, one really must make a subtle stand to let obnoxiously annoying teenagers and such know who's in charge of important matters ~
A beautiful ode to gorgeous Malte.
ReplyDeleteYesterday I was upset because they showed about 150 poodles in a awful state. Sort of a puppy mill. The "unhuman thing" who owns it said to the RSCPA officers, I can't see what the fuss is about!! They are happy.
It would be good to teach her a lesson and put her in a tiny cage with about another 20 of her kind, the worst among human beings, and perhaps she might learn how it feels! I have no compassion for people like her. When this awful affair is concluded the poodles are going to be rehomed with families.
The photo of Malte barking at the larger dog is very funny, the other day when we were out at the local park Nino (similar size to Malte) met a rotweiler with shoulders like a bouncer's and decided it should be put in its place,it nearly died of shock that such an elderly little dog should have the temerity to bark at it, I nearly died of shock imagining it eating Nino in one bite! Malte is very photogenic, he seems to enjoy having his picture taken.
ReplyDeleteMalte looks like a great little fella. I am sure he is often up to mischief, and likes a good adventure.
ReplyDeleteWe love little dogs like him.
I want a little dog, just like that! If only I didn't work full time or lived nearer my work place for quick pops home.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Titania. Poor dogs, I do hope they get wondeful new homes and that they adapt well! There was a similar *incident* in Stockholm a few years back, but with Yorkshire terriers, just horrible, horrible...
ReplyDeleteWell, Malte wasn't even barking just growling, Xtiand, but it was quite amusing to see who was in charge there, he sure rose to the occasion! Thanks for the photogenic comment too, he has to put up with my *constant* camera movements, sometimes he seems to enjoy it (sort of) others so not.
Thanks, Poppy Q, glad you do, he goes very well with BSH:)
Perhaps one of these days it will be possible, Jacqueline! Life goals and all that...:)
