So far I've baked - not counting the complete disaster that was luxury shortbread. They may have been saved by the freezer, but only way to maybe eat them one day will be carving with a spoon. Not sure if it was flawed recipe or bad baker - oatmeal toffee cookies (which are divine), orange polenta cookies (again, they truly are easy peasy perfection), triple chocolate cookies (delish) and beetroot-hazelnut cupcakes. Tomorrow there will be a whole lot of testing of both patience and my piping skills when it's time for the pink (heart) and rose (heart again) shaped frosting that will adorn said cupcakes.
There will also be the baking of three more cupcakes. Plus frosting. Then there will hopefully be happy, full guests. As well as a freezer rather full. Needless to say, the party, cookies and cakes will be documented for blog-purposes too.
Not much of a post today (not that it has to be. Every day. But I kind of like it to be), so may I suggest, that if you'd like a bit of summer, Sweden, shoes and literature, have a cup of liquid-of-choice and do pop over to read my shoe per diem post...
Yum! sounds like a great party! Happy birthday to Malte!
