cinnamon bun day
For the 12th year we're celebrating a most lovely day here in Sweden, Kanelbullens dag (Cinnamon bun day). So whether in Sweden or not, I do hope you treat yourself and your loved ones to at least one decent cinnamon bun today, okay? Okay.
I'm neither baking this year nor having a fika somewhere nice on the town, but I'm hoping someone nice will deliver a bun to be enjoyed at home later today.
(The oversized cinnamon buns in the photo are one of the best buns I've ever had, at Café Svarta Katten - Black Cat - in Mariehamn, Åland. Thus sadly very much out of the question today...)
Happy Cinnamon Bun Day!
For all that is infuriating about the employment system in Sweden, I think I speak for everyone when I say we are jealous that you live in a country that has something as delicious as Cinnamon Bun Day.
ReplyDeleteOh my! I think the closest I will get to a cinnamon bun today is if I make cinnamon toast. Not nearly the same. Happy day to you!
ReplyDelete*Heather speaks for me, for sure!* I want a Cinnamon Bun Day! :) Happy Kanelbullens dag!!
ReplyDeleteI've been inspired...but it looks like our Cinnamon Bun day will need to take place tomorrow :)
ReplyDeleteIn in Sweden have a lovely holidays.
ReplyDeleteHere we have only historic celebrations for victories in battles.
Happy Cinnamon Bun Day!
What a lovely, lovely day. And the scent of cinnamon is comfort food for me. Jealousy rears its ugly head.
ReplyDeleteYum! You have nice celebrations over there in Sweden. :)
