To be honest, that the candlestick broke 5 minutes later wasn't the topplers fault - crap quality and built in defects as in so many electric devices these days - but it could have been. It really could.
It was not a case of helping paws. No, not really. A toppler's promise isn't worth a great deal.
It's so annoying when new things don't work like they promise, or break so soon after opening.
