keep it colourful and keep it simple

Ordered some colourful, autumnal mini-cards from MOO for a client's little marketing campaign. Working from the usual motto: Keep it simple and keep it colourful.

I only chose 5 different motifs this time, which is very unlike me I suppose. But I'm sure it'll be no less effective for this particular purpose.

And the Prosit quality department has, like so many times before and then some, done a great quality inspection job.

it is the time of christmas cards 2014

new moo cards for prosit ord & bild ab
Only a little glimpse of the batch, wouldn't want to spoil the card surprise too much...

Just like last year this year's batch of fresh from the printer Prosit Ord & Bild AB's Christmas cards and such to be arrived on the 20ish of November.

And just like last year (like every year I enjoy them very much. Hopefully the receivers to be will too.

And on the receiving end can be you too! Just like last year (three's a magic number) I'd be happy to send you one fabulous Christmas card should you so wish, give me a holler in the comment or send me an email.

As I'm very fond of great, personal Christmas cards - and have very strong opinions on them - I would of course love it even more if you'd like to swap cards with me. That would be such fun I'm sure!

I will start sending them in mid December, depending on where in the world they'll head, so there's still plenty on time to let me know.

PS I've ordered my Christmas cards from MOO since 2008, it might have been quite a debacle back then, but I'm very grateful that got sorted and I haven't *touch wood* experienced any such issues when ordering since. DS

quality inspection at the prosit factory

quality inspection at prosit factory

Just another day of hard work for the Prosit sisters. Kvalitetsgranskning i Prosit-fabriken. Quality inspection at the Prosit factory.

Ordered business cards for a client, when they arrived I was about to take some snaps of them when inspector One and Two felt they had to snoopervise and give paw of approval.

quality inspection at prosit factory

Have no idea how they ALWAYS manage to turn up at the wrong right time, but they do. Admittedly it seems I did chose the perfect spokescats for Prosit, sister Red and sister White... They're sure eager to help!

I also ordered some more postcards - which always is a lovely way to thank a client for good co-operation after a finished project - they also got a quick overhaul. Zigne inspecting Zigne. Not sure that is a look of paw approval though. What do you think?

2013 in 13 pictures

banana sextuplets

January

It was a very cold and snowy month. With a lot of knitting, a couple of new shoes, the eating of soups and smoothies to chase the winter blues away. A new shower curtain (which has yet to be inaugurated actually, I will do it January 1st 2014). Floating sessions, photo exhibits, pedicure.

We had a real scare with little loaf having a tumour in his mouth that needed immediate surgery. He was a tough wee loaf as usual and recovered splendidly and thank goodness the tumour turned out to be benign. (Little did we know...)

Myself I went for a few more tests to figure out the answer to my health conundrum of 2012. They were rather uncomfortable but fortunately showed no signs of abnormalities. Since doctors and their science couldn't seem to offer anything else than pills without answers I began reading about deficiancies and supplements to see what I could possibly do to change my status. Slowly I was beginning to feel better, not so tired to the bone anymore. Despite hating the texture of bananas I began eating a lot of them, they're a good source for potassium (one of my then deficiencies).

And then I became the Queen of Stockholm. (And yes, I actually still hold the title, almost a year later.)

granny square boots

February

The arrival of awesome earrings and wonderful granny square boots were of course completely overshadowed by the unexpected, sudden and heartbreaking fact that there was no longer a little loaf in this house. Amidst all those tears and pain I could see some sense of the madness.

028

I began eating linseed oil capsules. I discovered tiger pattern yarn. And the tangible beginning of a beautiful friendship and collaboration took form. And what I hadn't been able to perform in regards to Prosit during such a large part of 2012 suddenly seemed doable again, even if it was pretty much like starting with the business all over again. There was no escaping, it had to be done.

March

As I recall it wasn't a very eventful month. I got a cold, but it was very different from the ones I'd had these last years, it actually only lasted a week (which used to be normal to me too, but alas five weeks colds have become all too familiar for a long time). I do believe it was then I realised I was not only getting perkier, more energetic and inspired by the linseed oil supplement, it also helped my health when it came to fighting colds and infections.

I continued to surround myself with things of beauty and inspiration. Including good friends, good talks and good fika. I got a peace scarf, Easter came (and it is still my all time favourite holiday of the year) and went. Winter still lingered on.

006

April

Spring finally sprung and early April it was time for the first outdoor meal of the season. The littlest cat Ågot turned one. My love for nailpolish and circus nails continued. I opened a semi-regular pug hotel (and it was lovely to have a dog in the house again, albeit briefly).

I spotted a gorgeous yellow handbag in a window, I later bought it and it was such a grand companion the rest of the spring and all summer long. (Washable in machine too, so even if it was pretty dirty after all that wear it looked great after the wash.)

I ordered new MOO cards and embraced something I really do not enjoy, having my face on the cards. But it has actually worked really well and I can see the sense. I revamped the Pia K Stockholm website, bought a lovely bake book from one of my favourite cafes and when April turned into May I made some cakes which turned out really great.

I became a little more grown up and got me a book-keeper to handle parts of my Prosit finances. And attended a lovely Yelp event at a Day Spa, where I also won the photo contest.

014

May

Exciting things began to happen, meetings, collaborations and nudging at dreams. I felt more alive and back on track than I had in a long time.

The month held the wonderful annual cherry blossom trees in bloom, a great Walk & Talk followed by an uplifting, fun and inspirational talk by one of Sweden's most popular lecturers, Mia Törnblom. I invented the word cafe crawl (where we had long business meetings over coffee/cake/lunch walking from cafe to cafe. Highly recommended!).

Little loaf was buried in a final resting place, under a new lilacs tree in the garden.

Bird led lights were a wonderful addition to garden, it was time for a new camera, went to Åland, loathed new Flickr (and still very much do alas), lilacs in bloom, enjoyed a lot of green beauty and was invited to a lovely vegan Chinese lunch.

strawberry heart

June

It was such a lovely lovely month. Meaningful meetings, collaborations, new people, rekindling with old friends. Life and world was a sunny place to be in, in many ways.

I got the fantastic Impi dress, which I spent many a wonderful summer day in. (I have every intention to do the same in 2014!). Pottery, actually finishing reading a book, the 5000th Instagram photo, thinking a lot about my shift of thinking, life attitude and living - being in a happy place part I, part II and part III. Strawberries galore and daring to compliment. A great Pet Shop Boys concert and suddenly a fabulous month had come to an end.

085

July

The month started with a meeting that made me think. A lot.

Bought a red lipstick, had a wonderful trip to Budapest where the vegetarian and vegan food was amazing, the drinks sweet, the weather meltingly hot, people friendly, dogs galore and serendipity ever present. The hedgehogs of 2013 arrived and the cats were mesmerized by their presence. Two pair of great shoes.

shoe per diem july 27, 2013 - frankie's innocent picnic

Held an Innocent event which was such a lovely experience. It left me full of ideas, lessons and impressions.

copenhagen summer 2013

August

Spent a few grand days in Copenhagen, lady bug luck, great food and even greater raw food. Had a bee-keeper for a day experience, a lovely Yelp Elite event breakfast, networking galore, exciting ideas, more job, new assignments, more vegan food, more raw food. And hey there iPad.

Oh, the sadness and wisfulness of having to finally say goodbye to such an amazing summer...

gothenburg

September

Was a hectic month of meetings, networking, working, thoughts, ideas, life. Another treasured month. Blog turned eight. Launched Two Happy Muses. Spent some fantastic days in Gothenburg, met great people, enjoyed fab vegetarian and vegan food.

The lovely experience of Dill, the not so great, overpriced food which turned out to be a horrific PR-coup. It left a bad bad aftertaste.

iPad got a cover and I got to stay inspired with a brand new fabulous T-shirt.

autumn stockholm suburb

October

Began on a seriously crappy note with iPhone being stolen at one of my favourite cafes, on October 1. Turned out to be one of many many life lessons learnt during 2013, about myself and others. And I wrote an article about it all (in Swedish). I thought a lot about life without a smartphone, read books and began knitting a sweater.

My first two TedX Sthlm experiences, warm up and main event. MyNewsday 2013. Great new tea. A great Yelp cinema event. Business speed dating/networking (which was awesome!). Happy birthday to me. New boots. A silly cat in a tree. I learnt that according to some I look a lot like my cats, like cat like owner. Heart. A bit of love at first sight.

Dry winter skin and a rescuer (that didn't work), zone therapy and wonderful afternoon tea. Really trying to eat in season.

gorgeous bouquet

November

The green winter we're having has really left me feeling tired and uninspired, thought about artificial sunlight and supplements. And loving my new vegan breakfast habits. Found a great raw lip balm, had a cup of amazing hot raspberry cocoa, a caturday meet cute, a lousy afternoon tea, the dishwasher broke, oldest cat Sigrid turned 11. Super happy about the MOO Christmas cards and such. Winter skin continued to be tired, got me a new recovery salve (that didn't work either alas...). Working. Networking. Meetings. Seminars. Began searching for the perfect red winter coat (still in vain).

Saw the prettiest bouquet of flowers and realised how much I would love if someone would treat me to that kind of flowers now and then.

vegan fabulousness at wagamama

December

The bobbaloos dream of travelling, while I realise I'm just where I should be in the here and now. And that is a truly lovely feeling to end an overall fantastic year with. Made vegan cakes, first snow fell, the great Nelson Mandela passed away.

Christmas fairs and their loot. Discovering the delight of Wagamama food (yes, the mouthwatering seaweed and carrot salad even get to be December's photo). Sporting a shapeless sweater and a perfect accessory. Knitting a supersized red scarf (and it's finished!) and an odd eared beanie, embracing failure at TedX Sthlm. Happy birthday, darling Prosit sisters!

Had a much needed pedicure, tried seaweed caviar, fed ducks and loved the Innocent bobble hat for two.

Dear 2013, it has been so amazing to know you, thank you so so very much for everything you brought and the life lessons you so generously shared.

green food, green dress

marsipangården cafe trosa

My rave for colour matching has apparently gone so far as I match my food with my outfit du jour.

Well, not in general (promise), but it was a rather fun moment when I realised the crazy green spinach pie on a very green bed of lettuce (that came before the lovely hot raspberry cocoa) went really very well with my green dress.

How about you, is it a recurring thing to match your food with your clothes?

PS You lovely people who have left a 'yes please!' comment in the Christmas cards (swap) post - and for everyone else who'd like a fabulous Prosit-card from yours truly! - could you please email me your address to piaktw (at) gmail (dot) com? And I'll reply with my information of course. This is will be much fun! DS

the moo christmas cards and such

the prosit spokescat

my latest moo cards were delivered on friday and i have to say i think this batch is pretty darn awesome.

before ordering i did have issues with the fact that for some silly reason you can no longer choose 50 different motifs on your postcards, only ten (the minimum for postcards now), so in order to get 50 different motifs you have to order them in packages of ten and by that paying a higher price. ridiculous. i was not going to order any postcards at all since it was so annoying, but ended up doing it anyway. so pleased i did, despite silly pricing, because they turned out lovely.

and i'm so so happy that also good iphone-photos become really beautiful postcards (hence you don't have to rely on the dslr to get great result in that size).

i'm especially struck by how fantastic the follow the hedgehog-photo turned out in print. pure magic! it looks totally unreal, like a painting or a fairytale illustration. when really, it was just a very special moment in my garden one summer morning when the light was right and the hedgehog and cats met.

unfortunately i only ordered one postcard with that motif. i'm totally going to order more asap.

it was a big box with business cards, postcards, christmas cards and stickers. only a very few didn't turn out so well in the print (bit too dark, bit too red) but nothing too bad or upsetting. i'm just very finicky.

and it's interesting how one learns which motifs will most likely turn out well in moo print and which will not. i'm mostly correct in my choices of photos, sometimes not, sometimes they turn out less pleasingly, sometimes they are pure delight. which, i suppose, is part of the charm. why one keeps going back for more moo.

the package has of course been inspected, by a proper prosit spokescat, zigne. she did gave paw of approval. so now the postcards and christmas cards are ready to be written and sent.

so who wants a christmas card to possibly swoon a bit over? feel free to shout 'yes please!' in a comment or send  me an email. i'd be happy to send you one. and even more delighted if you'd want to swap christmas cards with me. yes, as you know, cards around christmas, that is something i thoroughly enjoy, sending and receiving. the joy of a handwritten, pretty and personal card.

a brand new pia k stockholm website

striped bowtie

Finally I've gotten around to revamping the Pia K Stockholm website, something I should have done ages ago, but better late than never. It's a work in progress and far from finished, but I kind of like it like it is, not a lot of words, or pictures, just a few glimpses (but links to more of them). Plus simple contact information. Really, what more needs to be, if you think about it. In this world were we're drowned in information, texts and images, all the time, everywhere.

I'm glad I got around to the revamping with the new MOO cards arriving, perfect timing really.

I've been crocheting a lot of bowties recently - more of the happy bunch later - bitten by the springtime cotton yarn bug and of course, the endless thing that is lovely colour combinations... I'm glad M has not been negative at the thought of actually wearing them. Bowties are such a dapper little thing, wouldn't you agree?

moo cards 2013

moo cards april 2013

time to order some new business cards, they just arrived. and i'm overall very pleased with the outcome (some of the photos as usual turned out too dark in the printing, but the majority were lovely).

this time, very unlike me, i went with my face on the prosit ones. as much as i dislike showing my face in front of the camera it is, granted, easier to remember a person with a face on the business card. so i tried it and, to my surprise, the end result is rather likeable.

although, as usual, i much prefer the bright green and pink backsides of the luddkolt's (british shorthairs) and pia k stockholm (jewellery and knitting) ones before the muted colour i chose for prosit. my attempt of being more 'professional'; a muted coloured backside of my business cards. the silliness. next time i'll go pink or green for prosit too.

last week, next week

the yayness of a MOO package! from @overheardatmoo

On the brink of a new week, I can tick this off my list for the week that went;

~ I did take quite a few pleasing steps towards my new life

~ have spent pretty much the whole weekend revamping and cleaning the office space. And then some. It's such a cathartic feeling, the deciding what to keep, sell, give away or throw away. One should do it more often, but one doesn't. The keeping of good, important, inspirational and pleasing to the eye and soul things only, should be essential. But for all sorts of reasons I don't live like that. Yet.

~ foot feeling tad better, but not completely well, though at least it's doable

~ it was a lovely ladies-who-lunch experience with a new friend at a new place. Both the lady and the place in question (more of later) where very inspirational.

~ baked a couple of things for the freezer and the sweet tummy. Not as much as planned though.

~ obviously the small sized woollies arrived

~ I finished one and a half sock, almost a whole ticking of that list bullet.

~  so did the MOO parcel. It was awesome! Show and more tell later.

~ the root filling happened. Yes, it has been painful (to begin with) and costly (all the way). I hope it's something in my rearview mirror only now.

~ yes, it has been an incredibly glum week weatherwise. But snowless, hooray!

For the week to come I plan to;

~ continuing with cleaning and revamping of office space. Including selling some furnitures, getting a new simple desk and the paint for the walls. I know what colour I want, I just hope I'll find the perfect hue, that will look as good on the walls as I imagine.

~ get good news. As much as one can plan that. So let's say I plan to keep my fingers crossed for said good news. Much awaited such as a part of new life according to me.

~ have at least two good lunches with friends...

~ ... including long and good talks about life

~ continue to make really good use of the t-sacs

~ sporting at least two new pair of socks, because I didn't do that at all last week

~ hopefully finish that book I never did finish last week. But at least I'm reading, even if slowly.

~ fill more bags of stuff and books to giveaway to charity

~ do some more baking

~ working more diligently on the new website I really need to get up and running asap. I just loath the more technical aspects of it. So it takes time. And I have to take lots of breaks because it annoys me so much that the instructions, as usual, aren't very user-friendly or for close-to-dummies. But I'm also learning along the way. The long way. Hopefully the learning will stick.

~  announce the winner of a signed copy of my first book (do I hear a hum of excitement here?)

So, do you have any good plans for the week to come?

building a home - art exhibition

010

The course in strategic communication I attended in April got me connected to the information manager at Husby Konsthall (art gallery). When exchanging business cards (thank you MOO) he spotted my crafts and invited me to be part of an upcoming art exhibition. Art and crafts on fabric that would then cover a Somalian hut (Somalians playing a big role in that immigrant-dense suburb).

Time passed and I thought that maybe it was simply another fizzle out-thing. Turned out it wasn't and a few weeks ago I was sent a huge piece of linen fabric, not the average piece of paper size I'd imagined. Not the best of sore-hand-times to fill such a large piece with my interpretation of the theme "Building a home"... But I did (with the help of a kind mother that did parts of the attach pieces to fabric), and I thought a lot about it, and my interpretation has changed along the way, not much, but in the details. It was quite a lot of work, I'm reasonably pleased with end result - and it has gotten me to think more about doing embroidery again - had hand not been sore, had I had more time to rummage through by thoughts and my crafty materials stash I would have done more. And different. But this is okey.

I've wanted to use MOO-cards on fabric ever since I saw Lost Star making this creative piece on Flickr - this seemed like the perfect opportunity. So I did.

Granted it is a cute, perky, colourful, no worries piece (the Idyllic Sweden That Was), since my growing up, my influences for building a home, having a home is rather idyllic. Even if I worry, even if things are crap, even if I grump, compared to wars, persecutions, upheavals my life, my home has been overall idyllic, sweet, colourful and inspirational. So I went with that, and wove in glimpses of my family, background, life, sources of inspiration, then and now, what has shaped me, in my personal life and in the big scheme of matters.

Finally handed in my piece today, I only got to see two other pieces of the hut-to-be. Very, very different from mine, and from each other, both cool in their own way. Fascinating how differently we interpret things, a home. Only showing the small piece above now. Perhaps more to come later.

~ If you happen to be in Stockholm between July 2 - 13, 2011 you can see the whole Building a home - exhibition at Husby Konsthall. It opens on Saturday, July 2, (noon until 8 pm) with food and festivities. ~

moo-cards february 2011 edition

002

With the beginnings of new things in my life, I contemplated the various details and information I have on different MOO-cards and realized I did need (as if such an excuse should be necessary to get them, ahem...) some new business cards. Different people, different situations do call for different contact information. Some people I want to share more information with (websites), other just the basics (name, occupations, email and telephone).

006

Instead of the usual perky info-side I chose grey this time, easier in case I'd like to add some with a pen. I also chose the wee robot as the reverse-side pic, thinking he sends structurized yet humorous vibes and complementing the (mostly) colourful obverse.

I spent this day, my Saturday, on a job-related assembly, which was kind of mind-blowing and very touching in parts. Surprisingly so. It was lovely, gave loads of food for thoughts. Will tell more later, it's all about acting glocally, interesting, important, to challenge accustomed perspectives and approaches. And yes, some of these new cards have found their way to new contacts.

The more I'm familiar with which kind of photos work well with the green (recycled) MOO-cards and their way of cropping, the better the end result is. I'm very very pleased with these. They're oozing bouncy, happy, optimistic, creative, multilayered playfulness - or maybe that's just me thinking like this these days. Be as that may, delighted am I.

tuesday moo and gifts that keep on giving

047

Had a brilliant weekend (it was darn cold, but also a reasonable amount of sun which made it so so pretty), which I had planned to show glimpses of in a photo cavalcade today. But as I'm too tired for that I'll just say that I'm most pleased with the MOO cards that arrived in the mail today - well apart from 20% of the business cards that had a crap finish, which wasn't my fault. let's see what the MOO guys have to say about that... - let the Christmas card-writing begin!

Which is pretty much the only thing I'm fussy about when it comes to this time of the year -

the older I get, the less I enjoy Christmas, at least the commercialized consumeristic overindulgent meat-eating alcohol soaked state too many people spend it in. It's just such an incredibly tiresome part of the year I think. Because even if you're free to spend it anyway you like, one can't completely (unless living on a deserted island) escape the whole hullabaloo everywhere.

As I've probably mentioned before, we've long since stopped exchanging Christmas gifts in the family (if one doesn't feel like giving magic socks and such handmade things of course). Sometimes there's some small token of appreciation to friends. But other than that. No unnecessary shopping of gifts for us.

This year I've discovered the most perfect of gifts over at Action Aid though. Gifts to help people, especially women and girls who usually are the ones most in need of help, create better lives for themselves and their families. Now I'm looking at goats, beehives, chickens and trying to decide on what gifts will do most good. Gifts that keep on giving, they're truly the best!

If in Sweden you'll find gifts against poverty here, but I'm sure this is available in most countries. I also very much recommend becoming a sponsor for one or more orphan children in countries that perhaps are not as well-developed as your own. Myself I've been sponsoring a little girl in South-Africa for some years now. I hope that she'll grow up to become a good human being that will make a positive difference in this world
-

and baking lussekatter of course. When ordering the Christmas cards I like to get a mix of the year that was. So now I'm looking at my new cards and taking a wee stroll down a short memory lane. Spring, summer, autumn, winter, a year.

wednesday words

:: The project has begun. Estimated time to finish first bit of project 1,5 months, I will have finished it by tomorrow. That makes one (1) week. On half time. Yes I'm quick and effective, but this is silly. And if there was such a thing as anti-intellectual challenges this first bit of project would get a gold star. Very much not something I thought would one day be the result of all those years of law studies. I fear for braincells losing their elasticity and geist.

That said, they seem to be very grateful for getting the job done. And the general ambiance is friendly, helpful and unpretentious. So it could of course be worse. I do hope it will improve soon. But still. This is not me.

:: With my new glasses I do feel more me. And I see more. So much more. I find myself staring at this and that all the time because everything suddenly seem so bright and clear. I'm in four eyes love with the simple lime green Harry Potterish-but-not-quite-pair. The other pair (not inaugurated yet), claims M, turns me into an Ugly Betty-lookalike. Which is just fine by me. Comparisons could be so very much worse.

Suddenly I don't care much about wearing contacts, for some reason glasses that make me see things very clear again also get me to forget I wear them. And yes, I would love to get more pairs. As I have a fresh glasses recipe now I can order more frames online for close to peanuts and come spring I might feel frisky and do just that.

:: I've always felt some inexplicable (at the time when I perhaps wasn't as much in touch with the inner me as I feel I can be and many times am now) sadness whenever I see mankind's uncaring demolishing, mauling of nature (green pastures and forests, mountains and stones) in order to build and construct, eradicate to ridge. Still do.

Even more so these days when everywhere one look there seem to be new ongoing building schemes of blotting out what has been growing and thriving, developed for hundreds, thousands, millions of years in the blink of an eye. Everywhere one look a building, construction site and nothing is sacred.

Some days I really very much feel that life somewhere countryside far far away would be prefered before seeing politicans and builders eagerly efface so much natural beauty. Perhaps then melancholy over this wouldn't be this constant companion always somewhere in the back of my mind.

:: I may be condemned to eating a tweed hat or two, but I will admit to, despite what I have been known to feel, having a Facebook profile. I just decided to get one a while ago to see what the fuss was about. And I still so do not get it. Yes I do write an odd thing here and there on a not so irregular interval - basically when I feel I need more word than Twitter (which I quite enjoy these days) allows and the things I have an urge to instantly share isn't enough for a real blogpost -

but I can't say I feel it neither that interesting nor important. Most of my friends or family are not on Facebook and for some odd reason we have no problems keeping in touch still. Life does go on just fine without FB. Believe it or not.

Another thing I also think is quite bizarre is the fact that you call every little remote contact you've ever had your friend on FB. I mean really. It may be my conservative, serious Scandinavian me, but I don't call every Tom, Dick and Jane I meet my friend that quick and easy. I separate friends from acquaintances and contacts (even if some may be two or more of these in one great person) and I feel it would be so much more clever and nifty to have such distinctions on Facebook too.

That said. There are lots of lovely blog people and readers out there, kind enough to leave a comment or two or more here now and then that I would be happy to call my very friendly contacts on Facebook. Want to rub Internet shoulders there too, send me an email ~

:: Last day to get the MOO discount, January 31st (Sunday).

:: Still time to be part of the little postcards - bookmark giveaway. Leave a what-kind-of-blogposts-do-I-enjoy-most comment in that post January 31st at the latest.

moo cards discount for new customers

Anyone new to MOO who would like to try out their products - different cards, business cards, mini cards and stickers made from your own photos as well as ready templates - get a 10% off their first card order with this discount code 84SWQN

My tips for a smoother order is to

:: not choose too many different photos as the uploading can have glitches
:: just choose photos with great contrasts as the end result can get darker than expected
:: always remember to take into account the bleed area in the photos when you crop them

As an example, my latest MOO orders contained this good stuff

The discount code for new customers only ends at January 31st 2010.

four kinds of moo

IMG_0045

With a new year, new projects and hopefully lovely, exciting challenges I thought it was appropriate to get some new MOO stuff. Enter new cards of the Prosit kind. The applegreen reverse side was chosen this time and I love that perky colour.

IMG_0102
And cards of the more personal kind.
IMG_0084

A certain blog thought it was about time she got some personalized mini cards. And who am I to say no. I'm totally smitten by them and so very pleased about the funky mini Malte and hipper than hip Hippo on the reverse side.

Also, stickers can be really nice to irregularily regulary added to this and that now and then - I once collected stickers. A lot of them. I still have them in a lot of boxes in garden shed. Kind of nice to keep. For reasons somewhat unknown. Still. - so I got me a little orange book of that.

Happy with four kinds of MOO am I. Welcome brand new year and do bring fine challenges.

december 9th - city cake

IMG_8894

Santa was decapitated shortly after posing for picture. He didn't protest too much and tasted lovely (thank you, Santa). So did his throne of covered in pink cream pastry. I was treated to tea and cake at the City Mission café in Old Town - which was quite delightful. Luckily we escaped the premises just before the invasion of starved cake eaters begun.

It was yet another nasty gloomy, damp day in Stockholm. So far December hasn't offered - with one exception - more sun than the all time low November did.

On the very sunny other side of the seasonal coin is the fact that the Christmas cards arrived yesterday and oh they are quite wonderful, the colour reproduction overall reasonable, the cropping overall good. Not a lot left to be desired like last year. I'm so pleased. Let the Christmas cards-writing begin!
