welcome more joy and kindness 2026

The last me myself and I photo of 2025 was taken yesterday. Frost and bitterly cold winds made me bundle up like preparing for a snow storm.

For New Year’s Day the weather warning is for heavy snow fall, so at least I have the perfect outfit ready for that! Today the temperatures fell, and so did a bit of snow. Most likely will tomorrow also be spent like a quiet cosy day indoors. Sans hangover of course.

The slowfashion outfit worn yesterday happened to be a perfect capture of my values and goals. Marimekko inside out. The inside consisted of organic cotton (bought new 2-3 years ago and worn a gazillion times already💙🩶). The outside second hand (💙 faux fur and 🩶 shawl).

By less, by better, but focus more on second hand.

For 2026 my goal is many more simple joyful silly little moments like this.

But also keep being true to myself, being open to unexpected opportunies, positive changes, everyday miracles and finally finding my purpose. And getting my skin back in order.

For the the world I wish and desperately hope for peace ☮️ and more joy, kindness and compassion. And so so so much less of pain, sorrow, evil, greed and infinite stupidity.

Everything is connected. Choose kindness. Start with Veganuary.

✨✨✨✨✨💚 Happy new 2026 💚 ✨✨✨✨✨

have a kind, wise and caring christmas 2025

Christmas Eve.

It has been an overall exhausting, frustrating, infuriating, mindboggling, soul crushing, disappointing year, for a gazillion reasons.

So instead of writing a tired cliché phrase, I settle with wishing you a kind and caring time of the year, with less consumption, more wise decisions.

However you choose to spend these days, listen with an open heart and a curious mind. Please let kindness rule!

the nobel animal rights day 2025

December 10 is The international animal rights day. Which n Sweden coincides with the Nobel Day. A prize that in many ways obviously has lost its meaning over time.

I’m sure the scientists have made meaningful contributions within their respective fields. However, climate emergency solutions and peace promoting solutions, the most pressing issues of our times shine with their non-presence.

The Peace Prize laureates have too many times been cruel jokes over the years. And 2025 is most certainly no exception. So many worthy candidates to choose from, then this ill thought through result. Shame on the committee.

I wish there was a truly meaningful Nobel prize, one for kindness and compassion, and as a positive side effect, sustainability solutions.

A worthy winner would then of course be any and every serious animal rights organization. Having worked relentlessly for a better, fairer world for many years (in some cases centuries!).

Like Sweden’s own Djurens Rätt (of which I’ve been  a proud member ever since I was a small child, back when they were still called ’Nordiska samfundet mot plÃ¥gsamma djurförsök’. The organisation was founded in 1882.

And has organisation recently made a fantastic, heartbreaking investigation into the Swedish pig factory farming. Nothing new for us animal lovers (ie not just pet lovers) of course.

But still a great reminder of the cruelty and suffering inflicted on these poor, smart, innocent animals all year round. And not least at Christmas when the Swedish animal eaters still stuff their ignorant faces with all that pig suffering at the Christmas table.

And now there’s a public transport campaign for the pigs this Christmas hashtag #julmagi #djurensrätt with the that the future Christmases will bring Christmas magic to all the pigs too. Eating animals and causing so much suffering and pain with your ”personal” food choices is so obsolete. And not the least 21st century.

Another compassionate wish of mine is that the November 10 flags on our buses were for the animals suffering in the food system, but alas, for that to happen there’s still a long way to go.

And the time is running out…

My support du jour for the suffering animals was the excellent spread I made with chickpeas, edamame beans, dairyfree mayo, red onion and lemon. The perfectly delicious lunch and dinner on a sourdough bread on this December 10 of 2025.

A day, a world, that still needs a lot of change to be perfect. But I’m proud for yet another day, another year, where I’ve done at least my little bit to help alleviate the vast amount of human caused suffering and pain in this world, by chosing wisely and kindly what I eat. Vegan for the animals. Plantbased for the planet.
