The last of November is also Advent 1st this year. So I baked some vegan saffron buns with almond paste, from a different recipe. They turned out reasonably good, however if something I bake or cook isn’t flawlessly good I always point out what could’ve been better. And in the case of these saffron buns they lacked the taste of saffron (which was basically the whole point of baking them) as well as the almond paste.
Just a good basic bun, not the seasonally flavour depth I had anticipated. Clearly I need to bake the classic Swedish lussekatt/er later in December.
Just trying to keep my bye-November post short and sweet but not so sweet, because it surely felt like a battle and not what I had hoped for.
- Had a crazy experience with a LinkedIn contact who had issues with me opposing genocide and ethnic cleansing in posts and articles on LI.
As any sane, reasonable human being would. Which is why I’ve been shadowbanned on the platform since March, alongside thousands of other LinkedIn members.
I immediately blocked and removed him as contact obviously. Everything he wrote was straight from the Zio playbook. And he even had the audacity to text me the next morning, with utter nonsense.
There is a very good reason why you should be selective with the people you accept LI-invitations from. I vaguely remember he sent the invitation in 2018 because we agreed on a climate emergency post discussion back then. I accepted but have had no professional contact with him since, nor any meaningful exchange ever. Little did I expected he would turn out to be a nut case, but there you are.
- Since things have been rough trying to keep my business healthy and prosperous ever since the pandemic really, I decided it’s enough now. As I’ve ran it as a Ltd (Swe. AB) since 2012 but that also means you must have an accountant these past few years have been a struggle, costing me so much more than running it as a sole proprietorship (as I think the term in English is).
As much as I hate to have to do it because of how things look now, I try to regard it as a lesson learnt, time to move on. Will keep my company name of course, just minus the AB.
- My goal was to have all this done before the end of the year, and start a new chapter in January. As much as I trust the process and that the universe has my back, I really need to get the luxuary handbags, I once (20 years ago) thought was a reasonably thing to spent my money on, sold.
