Look, I managed to add photos to a blog post again! Well done me, still haven’t figured out how to do it every time, but slowly getting there…
This post will be a random selection of photos and happenings that has made me happy/grateful/intrigued during May -June 2026 (so far).
First out is the vegan Midsummer lunch on Friday. Kept it simple with potato gratin, smoked tofu and a green salad with kind ingredients that fills me with joy. 💚
It’s one of the first hot summer days here, this year (the year that will turn out to be the on average coolest one from here on?) so I don’t have the instand energy to match the text to all the photos I’ve uploaded already.
I’m uploading the post after this photo. But you are welcome return to read more words added later.

The floral scent of sweet mock orange has been my summer favourite since childhood.
There was a huge unruly delightful shrub at our summer country cottage.
And in the suburbs I lived in back then the municipality had planted a lot of hedges with it’s irresistable scent. So on the way back home from the underground the summer evening air was filled with the heavy scent of sweet mock orange. 🤍
At the usual street I take when I walk from home now, to the nearby grocery store/pick up point there is a stretch with these gorgeously scented hedges too.
A few sniffs of these and it is the perfect assurance that everything will be alright.
A little perfect corner on this Prettiest Time of the Year forming a Little Pocket of Joy.
💚
