are you coming?

are you coming? the pug named malte off to make an international paw print, april 2015

It isn't the first picture I've sold via the photo app Foap. But it's the first one which got a shout out on Instagram. And there's something extra sweet with the notion that this quirky little pug fella, a friend of little loaf, will make an international paw print somewhere.

the pug lamp

pug lamp
Passed a lamp and light shop with this in the window display. I fell in immediate lust. It may be kitsch, it may be silly but I absolutely adore it. I want that pug lamp! Have no idea where I'd put it and where it'll be visible and safe from feline attack. But j'adore, yes I do.

Time to give you a bunch of for different reasons read-worthy articles (old and new). And since only words and links are rather boring, the spice and bonus du jour; today's meet cute pug vs brit. The topics are from one end to the other, from the deep and truly troublesome to the light and silly. Because that's how my brain works.

work, pug, cake

prosit at work

Today was Friday the 13th, to be honest I had expected amazing things and fireworksy matters to happen. But perhaps small blessings and sweet things can be considered fireworks in disguise. In that case these three matters are my favourites of this June 13 -

1. The finishing of a rather extensive copywriting assignment - and learning a lot along the way, not everything pleasant unfortunately. It made me think a lot about how presumptiously we humans keep treating the environment and nature, like its the most natural thing to do... And then someone like I steps in and sugarcoat the matters with smooth talking words... - recharging for the last bits with smoothie goodness and encouraging small sized woollies. And somehow all is well. For the here and now. From my point of view.

a pug amongst sceptical cats

2. The entusiastic visit of one special pug. Amongst very sceptical cats. The third day of faces that says it all...

geranium cake

3. The baking of a cake. This time a geranium cake I've been meaning to bake for ages. Or as it happens to be called in Swedish; 'Pias pelargonkaka' ie Pia's geranium cake - not named after me, but a splendid name choice anyway. It turned out lovely and special. Will blog the recipe another day.

Now I'm simply ready for a relaxing weekend.
How about you?

meet cute on world laughter day

shoe per diem meets street art sthlm - may 4, 2014

Who knew there was such a thing as the World Laughter Day? Not me at least. And yes, befitting indeed regarding yesterday's blog post about love and magic, I do agree with Elephant's Child that more laughter is also something the world is in dire need of.

Myself I laugh a lot in general, because there are indeed lot of amusing and laughable things to be seen, heard, experienced plus clever people around. In a bleak world there are still many things of beauty, love and laughter to be grateful about, it's important to enjoy them. Laughter is good for the health, body and mind.

Here are three incidents I rejoiced over today. Of very different kinds. From smile to giggle to laughter.

shoe per diem meets street art sthlm - may 4, 2014

Me and my shoe per diem met a spout with a special pout.

vegolunch med #deklarationsbakelse

Did my annual taxes and invented the word and hashtag "deklarationsbakelse" on Twitter and Instagram. It means that when you've done your taxes you deserve a pastry ie declarationpastry. It's mindboggling that noone has come up with the word before! (Me neither, but better late than never.) Life needs both words and action so I did the right thing and had a nice lunch incl one of my favourite pastries, banana cream.

like to get to know you well...

And then my home and garden got a pug visit. The fella who is always happy to see the cats and if he could sing he'd sing "Like to get to know you well, so we could be friends forever"...

like to get to know you well...

And the cats would swiftly reply "Shouldn't think so buddy!". I got the pictures to prove it.

What made you laugh today?

international animal rights day

friends

On this day which is International Animal Rights Day, we should all remember that all sentient beings ought to be treated with respect, kindness and compassion. Other animals other than humans is not put on this earth to be treated as consumables or wear and tear items.

I treated a pug named Malte to some extra TLC today.

What kind deed did you do for an animal today?

a pug named malte

the pug malte

Welcoming the snuffly, weird and charming pug named Malte into the home for a few hours now and then continues to be a treat.

the pug malte

Unlike the one and only, forever missed, little loaf named Malte he's not used to posing for photos and it's tricky, to say the least, to get him to sit still and look in to the camera. But now and then we end up with something fun and unexpected.

Happy Wednesday,
the last one of April
(gosh, this month has really really flown by)!
