On August 4th, 2012, a humid summer day in Stockholm, one Little Loaf extraordinaire named Malte turned nine years old. The celebration was a rather sober affair, for all sorts of reasons. (No cupcakes and cookies in sight alas.)
First there was a late summer shave. Then there was a posing for a second... or two. Before the birthday boy was his usual terriers self and lost patience.
Then he got to search the garden for his chewy treat. Then there was a squeaker toy (of course). Bright, sunny and summery. (Although, as it turned out, a bit too large to be fully enjoyed by the small terrier sized jaws.)
But still, birthday joy according to one little loaf extraordinaire is complete with a) chewy thing b) squeaker toy (to carry around at least).

Happy Birthday Malte, so lovely to see you in your smart birthday haircut. We very sadly lost our little loaf dog Nino earlier this year, he would have been 16 this year - his birthday was the 4th of August too.
