goodbye summer, hallo autumn
As been tradition a few years now, saying goodbye (snivel) to summer and hallo to autumn is done with flower picking at lovely organic garden Växplats Nybyn - 2010 - 2011 - 2012 (no fond memories of this time last year...) - this year it was with a distinct chill in the air (yesterday was lovely and summery warm still), harsh winds and rain in the air. The flowers hadn't grown abundant as usual due to unusually hot weather and sparse rain, but we managed to get a nice bunch of asters (love them!) and a few sweetpeas. Sadly no dahlias or sunflowers this year.
After the flower picking (exhausting according to small sized woollies) we enjoyed a fine fika moment in the green house (much better spent time according to same woollies). I can't believe the temperatures are already down to around +10C only. I am so not ready to say goodbye to the tan, bare legs and thing cardigans.
To be honest I do feel melancholic for leaving this wonderful summer behind,
but I also feel agog and charged for a fabulous autumn.
Let's make it happen!

And on the other side of the world, Spring is brightening my heart and days. She came in early, with a bang. And I have (without exaggeration) hundreds of daffodils in the garden as testament to her arrival...
