Five Years Of Loaf Doggie

IMG_2301

Today is the day, loaf doggie extraordinaire with a bratty behaviour at times and a fondness for squeaky toys turns 5 years old. Time flies and life with it, gosh, it sure doesn't feel like it's almost five years now since we first saw what would become a loaf doggie named Malte. Please beware of cuteness overload, here comes one four weeks old loaf pup version -

When he finally came home with us five weeks later he looked kind of adorable still... Some months later he had grown quite a bit, ready and eager to conquer and rule Christmas. And this look caught on Christmas edition picture then, it just about sums up his mischievous yet very obviously innocent features rather well I'd say -

Although even if he still does enjoy the occasional playful wrestle with other dogs, he certainly, perhaps alas, no longer have the same interest in other dogs. A friendly sniff and wag will do. People though, from very small to larger size, seem to never ever seize to amaze and delight loaf doggie extraordinaire. Since every homo sapien is always and forever possible new and very best friend.

We will have a small birthday do for him later this week - any excuse to throw a part is a good one - but today he has so far gotten a shave and a bath and later he will have some treats on his special day. He has been known to be quite particular about presents he gets, but I do think he will enjoy these - one denim soft herbal toy, the non squeaker kind, with aniseed from Culpeper and one ice cream dog biscuit from Pet Chic.

Happy birthday loafie one!!
