Spotted these quirky bookends a while back. Really adorable happy-making things I think. Although I have far too many books and absolutely no need for bookends - well, not that one can have too many books, but one can have too many books making bookends superfluous - but they would make lovely gifts, for people with less books and love for cats and/or dogs.
Made by Swedish designers (and couple) Bengt & Lotta, Bengt Lindberg and Lotta Glave, who make all sorts of great, useful, pretty and quirky craft stuff. Ironworks, textile, furniture, jewellery and such. It's all really lovely and makes one smile. That certainly is a good sign for fine design, smile inducing.
