the prettiest time of the year

102

The autumn may be a rich and colourful time of the year, full of unpretentious promises of new beginnings. But this time of the year, the late spring, early summer, when everything in nature seem so fresh and delicate, gauzy green and almost luminescent. I think it's lovely, soft and dreamy (if you're able to now and then look past the nastiness in this world).

Albeit not so unpretentious as autumn, there are more musts, shoulds, ought-tos in spring. Still, the summer to come seems endless, the long, light evenings precious, everything delicately green and kindly energizing.

Tomorrow, tomorrow will be a random thoughts post, for now, just a few glimpses of this exquisite time of the Swedish year, early summer, late spring ~

Absolutely lovely, Pia! We've been so cold here this Spring that the leaves have yet to come out, but at least the grass is green and the daffodils and tulips are in bloom. Spring is my favourite time of year, house-painting and indoor home projects notwithstanding. LOL.

Truly beautiful. There is something luminous about the greens that first appear in spring. (though I have to confess a weakness for the pared back beauty of winter).

I love spring. Every new flower a reminder that life continues and new beginnings are out there to be had.

Oh yeah, and I thought you might get a kick out of knowing that I ordered my pizza tonight with banana peppers and black olives, no pepperoni or meat of any kind. It was quite tasty too! But don't be too proud, it might not last, ;)
