This is quite possibly one of the most beautiful sights I've ever seen, a large field brimming with sunflowers, a bright blue skye dotted with fluffy white clouds and in the background scattered wind turbines with red/white polka wings.
The weather and light conditions made it nigh impossible to capture the utter beauty of the scene - or granted, quite possibly I'm not that well-versed in the finer touches of photography or photo-editing - to get the sunflowers AND the wind turbines AND the bright blue sky come together in one glorious capture, that didn't happen.
But just look at this field of gold and promise, it's wonderful in its very own. And if you squint you just might see those lovely gentle giants in the background. Sun and wind, two of the finest energy forms there are, another blissful and unexpected moment had in Germany. A moment when weary and sad felt very far away.
