stripey sweetheart
I am so not advocating unnecessarily dressing pets and treating them as accessories. Such behaviour makes me plain mad and utterly sad.
That said, I bought this small sweater - and a wool one with snowflakes - for Malte when he was a wee pup (about five and a half years ago) because I thought he would be cold and miserable during autumn and winter. I think he wore them once each - it took quite a while before he grew his puppy self into them -, and it was not the weather and snow that made him cold and miserable, it was the sweaters with snow attachment.
I found the jersey sweater in a closet the other day and thought it would be interesting to see if it still fitted. It most certainly did. And with all the admiring and rewardwing ohs and ahs exclamations I do think he felt kind of snazzy dressed in red-white stripes. I also believe that this stripy furry vision with licquorice nose could melt even the coldest of all stone hearts ~

I, too, am not a fan of those who dress their pets. BUT - he looks absolutely adorable. Those stripes and the colour really suit him!
He looks adorable!
He still wears it with panache; for the moment. Billy would not be so accomodating, he would tear it to shreds. No, generally I do not like dressed up dogs in little frocks and headbands. I generally feel sorry for them and think it is also a way of abuse.
Thanks, afos, I agree, he looks kind of sporty and preppy in this:)
Thanks, Ady!
Thanks, Titania, I don't think he'd ever try and tear himself out of this, unless left alone in it for a long time but that will of course never happen...:)
Awwww. : )
