the dog menu

There is a tucked away restaurant building at Djurgården, Stockholm, that was once a rather unpretentious summerish café called Amadeus. That was probably well over 10 years ago. I kind of liked that place. It later changed name and management and wasn't as likable anymore. Thus despite passing by the place now and then - mostly on the way to Rosendal's garden - I haven't been there for many years. Both management and food orientation have probably changed several times since.

The other week I did notice that the once-was-Amadeus now is a restaurant serving meze dishes - they sound rather nice actually, reasonably priced and many vegetarian options - as well as offering a separate and unusual (in Sweden) menu for the accompanying dog. Kind of cute. My dog - who most probably will never visit the restaurant - would however appreciate if carrots could be added to the menu. Like mistress, like dog.

Ah, but Malte would love to extend his district of Important Guarding and Inspection to Djurgården!

Wow, Nino love this although he would be happy to choose items off the main menu too! You have some wonderful restaurants in Sweden.

Thanks for visiting blog anyway, Anonymous with dog in Brazil:)

I'm all for it if you have a dog that's fun to bring with you out and about like this, Ady, it's great when people socialize with their dogs like this!

He probably would, Per, he has been known to stroll the walkpaths there now and then in wintertime, but for a restaurant visit, nah...:)

This is quite an unusal restaurant for Sweden, Xtiand, but totally sweet I think:)
