berlin fruit jams

029

I got these two home-made fruit jams at a Saturday food market in Berlin. They are excellent, just the way I like them with a liberating lack of sugar-overload and instead the fruit flavours come through really nicely. Rhubarb-vanilla and strawberries-banana, the latter being my favourite.

One of those pleasant yet melancholy food experiences, because you know that the chance you'll ever stumble over the same vendor again is way beyond minuscule. So instead I make the most of the tea and toast-times I'm having with these jams. They are lovely.

They look delicious! That is why I like to make my own jams, so I can put far less sugar in and really taste the fruit. Enjoy your toast and tea!
