December 13, the day of Lucia in Sweden. The bearer of light. In times of darkness.
Yesterday there was baking of "lussekatter" in casa de Pia. Today there will be eating of said saffron buns. Low key celebration one might say. The way I mostly like it.

I love. St. Lucia day. While I was growing up I had a doll I loved and she came from Sweden, or at least she did in my story. I celebrated St. Lucia Day with her every year. Maybe this year I'll try my hand at saffron buns!
